If you like it, go for it, the leg bit will be hidden under trousres mostly anyway. Your first sock looks great.
I love the idea of smae but different, my 3 year old wears eg one Thomas and one James sock regularly. So long as the base yarn is the same the other is cute and looks like it was designed that way too. Go fo it :D
Go for it...if you dont like result you have optionsa/knit to more to get two matching pairsb/hop a lot and only show one leg at a time
