I have done it...It's not brilliant but it does resemble what it's supposed to and that will do for me. There's a bit of tweaking still needed but for now, tomorrow is another sock ;)
Very nice! I am going to try that magic cast on. I have a pattern I want to try that will be upside down if I do it cuff down so is the perfect opportunity to try it.
Yeah!!! You got passed the heel too (me as well, with the help of LittleBerry's wonderful instructions!). What's the pattern Linz? I like it (a lot). Great sock, great colour - very bug like :)
Piglottie it's just a basic 60 stitch sock...the pattern up the middle is a stitch called fishtail. If you can't find anywhere, let me know and i'll write it out for you. (I just put the pattern in to stop me getting bored with plain ss and a plain colour, plus it makes it easier to measure the second sock lol)

well done Linz!!!! I've not been brave enough to do a toe up sock yet..........
I am not brave enough either but yours looks fab and well done for persevering.
My interpretation of a "magic cast on" would be something that cast on for me magically so to speak ;)without any effort from me at all!
